We are excited to announce the latest developments in the production of Montabi, our monster collection and training simulation game. After conducting A/B testing across several social media channels, we have analyzed the results and made some important decisions regarding the art style of the game.
Artstyle Direction
In the A/B testing, option A received the most votes with 120, followed by option B with 59 votes and option C with 52 votes. However, after internal discussions, our team of artists have decided to move forward with option B as the final art style for Montabi. This decision was made for several reasons, including that option B offers more expandability, better visual feedback, and is more unique compared to the more popular option A. Despite receiving less votes, option B still received a decent amount of support and we believe it will be well-received by the market.
Prototype Progress
Moving forward, we are continuing with the prototype development and are happy to report that we have implemented the basic features such as training and battles. Our goal is to make the training aspect of the game as engaging and rewarding as possible, and to that end, we have added depth to the battle mechanics by incorporating archetypes and synergies into the monsters. This will allow players to set up simple combos during battles and make the overall experience more exciting.
Lastly, we want to encourage our community to stay up-to-date with the latest developments by following us on twitter and joining our discord. We will be sure to keep you informed about any updates and progress as we continue to work on Montabi. Our devlog update will be posted once or twice a month to keep everyone in the loop.
Thank you for your support and for participating in the A/B testing. We can’t wait to bring Montabi to life and share it with all of you!
