Hey, just wanted to update what we are working on, Since releasing the first demo back in June, we’ve been adding new contents and making adjustments based on player feedback. Today, we’re thrilled to finally share all the improvements we’ve been working on. You can now jump into the new and improved demo on Steam!
What’s New:
- 1 new Elite enemy: El Puncho
- 1 new Boss enemy: Mr. Alchevine
- Expanded and reworked deck for all playable Montabi and Trainer!
- Now each Montabi has 25-30 skill cards
- Trainer has 35-40 skill cards
- Trainer can Rank Up!
- Trainer gets stronger and gains new passives when they rank up!
- Montabi can reach evo 3!
- New passives that support different playstyles
- New Equipment feature!
- 17 Equipment available
- Card removal in the Cafe!
- You can now select a starting Charm when choosing a Trainer!
- 3 New Trainer charm
- Localization support!
- Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Indonesian

Journey to Demo 0.2
It’s been an incredible few months! Besides taking notes from the previous demo’s feedback, we also held community playtests in July and August. All the discussion, feedback, and bug reports completely blew us away. We felt your love and enthusiasm for Montabi, and it keeps us energized to keep building this game.
After spending some time grinding full-game content, we shifted our focus back to the Demo 0.2 Update. We went from adding a whole new feature like the equipment system, all the way to subtle tweaks like faster animations and double-click interactions.
We’re also thrilled that the demo now supports more languages: Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Indonesian. Hopefully, more players around the world can enjoy this vibrant yet deadly game.
