A bit late, as it is already early 2026, mid-January to be exact. As has become our habit, we want to recap our journey from the past year. In this year end blog, I, Boy Dozan, would like to share our story with all of you:
Cultivate Spirit
In 2025, we carried the theme Cultivate. It was a year where we tried to give more opportunities to team members who were relatively new to the industry, including fresh graduates, to take charge, make decisions, and take initiative. I strongly believe that for this company to go further, each individual needs to contribute not only by completing tasks, but by actively driving the company forward with their own initiatives. It was not easy for all of us, but we hope the Cultivate spirit stays with us and continues to help us grow and improve.
Montabi in 2025
2025 was also a very busy year. We are incredibly grateful to partner with Akupara Games to bring Montabi to the next level. We announced Montabi in April, released our first demo in June, and launched our first major demo update in November. It still feels very surreal to us. We were truly happy to see player responses and feedback through comments, as well as our Discord community growing with active discussions. It genuinely filled my heart.
However, there were also difficult moments. One of our team members became ill and faced issues with his eyesight, requiring multiple medical treatments. This was heartbreaking for all of us. We sincerely wish him a smooth and speedy recovery. I am deeply grateful that Mankibo’s vision of being a place for everyone truly matters. The support from the team during this time was incredible. This also reflects how everyone, including interns, freelancers, and part time members, has become part of one big Manki family, sharing both challenges and joyful moments together.
Lastly, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for receiving the Best Indonesia Game Developer award from TLGA. This recognition truly motivates us to stay consistent and continue doing our best.
Now that we are already in 2026, we look forward to working even harder and are very excited for what lies ahead for Montabi this year.
