Heyo, I’m Boy Dozan. It’s time for another Mankibo Anniversary Blog! Four years already.
Another year of surviving, growing, learning, and becoming better together. I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity, every challenge, and every person who has been part of this journey. This is a moment for us to reflect on everything that happened over the past year.
Four years of Mankibo
This month marks our fourth anniversary! As always, I want to share some of the milestones we achieved this year. This year has been filled with meaningful milestones:
- Announced Montabi’s release date on August 6th with our first ever rap trailer (a huge milestone for us!)
- Joined Steam Next Fest with our updated demo in June 2026
- Expanding Montabi to multiple platforms (more announcements coming soon!)
- Localized Montabi into multiple languages: English, Bahasa Indonesia, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish
Growing Through Community Feedback

This year, we focused heavily on continuous playtesting, and this would not have been possible without our incredible community. So far, we have conducted more than 20 external playtests, including playtests organized by our publisher, Akupara Games. Around 7 to 8 of those were community playtests where players directly experienced new content, provided feedback, and helped us improve Montabi.
We truly believe that creating a fun game requires listening to players. Every piece of feedback, from small suggestions to detailed discussions, helps us shape Montabi into a better experience. Thank you so much to everyone who has played, shared feedback, reported bugs, or simply supported us along this journey.
Grow & Surrender
This year, our theme was Grow & Surrender.
Why?
Because this was the first time we released our own original IP. For the first time, we had to face the uncertainty of bringing something we created to the world.
And honestly, we were scared.
What if the game doesn’t perform well financially?
What if players don’t enjoy it?
What if our first release doesn’t meet our expectations?
But we learned that there are things we can control, and things we cannot.
We can control how much effort we put in.
We can control how much we improve.
We can control how much love we put into creating the best game possible.
But the final result is something we need to surrender.
We will do our very best, and let God take care of the things beyond our control.
Through this process, we want to continue growing. If our first product succeeds, we will stay humble and keep learning. If it does not succeed as we hoped, we will stay resilient, learn from it, and continue creating better things.
Regardless of the outcome, we believe we have grown as a team and as individuals.
Accessibilty
One thing I really want to highlight this year is our effort toward accessibility.
Aligned with Mankibo’s mission of inclusivity, we tried our best to add accessibility features within our capabilities. We are proud that Montabi now supports multiple accessibility settings, allowing more players to enjoy the game.

Together with our difficulty options, we hope Montabi can provide a comfortable experience for different types of players. Beyond accessibility features, we are also supporting 8 languages and bringing Montabi to Mac. These steps are part of our commitment to making games that can be enjoyed by more people around the world.
Looking Forward
Four years of Mankibo have been an incredible journey. From a small team with a dream, to creating our first original IP and preparing for launch, we are grateful for every person who has supported us along the way. Thank you to our team, partners, community, friends, and everyone who believes in what we are building.
Here’s to the journey ahead.See you on our 5th-year anniversary celebration blog!
With gratitude,
Boy Dozan Founder, Mankibo
